Bringing the Outdoors in this Spring

Nothing makes the spring season seem more festive than by bringing nature to life inside of your home. Giving your home an earthy, natural theme is easy; all you have to do is look outside and let nature talk to you.

Setting up the fundamentals is a necessary part of creating an outdoorsy theme. You will want to establish earthy tones for your home, such as browns, beiges, tans, greens, and even a pop or two of a simple blue. These colors can range in natural and cool tones, as long as they exude earthliness. When painting your walls, having carpet installed, or searching for curtains, always keep earthy tones in mind.

Nature is a generous force. A lot of homemade decorating options stem from free gifts given to us by nature. For example, you can use the bountiful amount of acorns that have fallen from your backyard trees as natural home décor. These acorns can be painted according to a particular color story, such as a beige and green theme. You can situate the acorns in a wooden bowl or in another piece of decoration that resembles nature. Pussy willows are great, too, because you can place them in vases to balance out the energy of your home.

What better way is there to bring the outdoors inside of your home than by adding a table with a wooden
slab? It’s almost as if you’re truly living in a forest full of lush greenery. After all, trees are an essential part of nature. A slab top table will give your living room, dining room, family room, or basement the earthy feel it needs to complete the natural theme of your home.

Of course, a piece of wooden slab doesn’t stand up on its own. If you are serious about having the luxurious and sophisticatedly earthy presence of a wooden slab table in your house, you will need metal table bases to get the job done. Metal table bases are great for slab tables, because they are durable, and able to support the weight from the wooden slab.

You will need to select what style you want to use when creating your wooden slab table with a metal base. Most of the styles are in shapes of the alphabet. For example, an “A” base is shaped in the formation of the letter “A”. The “U” and “Y” shaped legs also look like the letters they are named after. There are also more contemporary styles made of steel, which incorporate an industrial feel with clean lines and architecture.
There are plenty of other ways you can bring nature inside of your home for the spring. These are only a few simple ideas to keep your home as natural and beautiful as the outdoors. This spring, entertain your guests with an impressive presentation of nature with acorns, willows, and wooden slabs.
